A keen outdoor person Wendy has a love of nature, the animal world and her two dogs. Her observations inspire the creative clay pieces, each one unique, that catch the imagination. Work is made for garden and home in Earthenware and Stoneware.
Encouraged as a child by her dad to explore materials and tools she had the freedom of the workshop attached to her Birmingham home and time to explore her surroundings.
Having followed a nursing career for 47 years, in the Operating Theatres, she fell under the spell of clay having joined ceramic courses. This diverse, amazing medium pulls Wendy to be resourceful, overcoming the clay demons and kiln gods to create mindful, joyous creations.
Her finishes give the final emotion and impact with glazes, magical oxides and decorative embellishments celebrating this visual wonderful material.
